The duration of a Grand Prix can vary. Every race has to be held over a minimum of 305km (190 miles.) The exact amount of laps varies per track, but races tend to last around 90 minutes.

This time can be affected by safety card periods or red flags, which may halt the race. If a race is not halted and the two-hour time limit is reached, then the race will finish at the end of the next lap.
