Looking for the best beer garden in Leith? We have just unveiled our brand-new outdoor space, offering the perfect spot to soak up the sun, sip on a cold pint, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Welcome to Edinburgh’s first Guinness Beer Garden!
To celebrate the launch, we’re buying a pint of Guinness or Guinness 0.0 for the first 50 customers who arrive on Friday, 6th June from 3pm onwards – so get down early and claim your free pint! T&Cs: available exclusively at Malones Leith, only one pint per customer, only the first 50 customers to order.
As part of the launch, we’ve installed a Guinness MicroDraught system so that you can pour your own pint and then chill in the garden watching the world go by you.
We currently only accept walk-ins on our beer garden. Fire down and we’ll see you soon!
Beer Garden FAQs
Malones Leith's beer garden terrace is a great choice. It's vibrantly decorated with colourful Guinness memorabilia, has a self-pour Guinness machine and is only a few steps away from The Shore tram stop.
Mara is also an excellent choice. It's garden terrace overlooks the Water of Leith for a picturesque view while you soak in the summer sun.
The garden opens when we open at 11am every day for you early risers, and closes at 10pm daily.
We are not taking bookings for our beer garden at this time but do welcome walk-ins.
The Guinness Beer Garden is at the front door of Malones Leith. We're directly at The Shore Tram Stop, making us easy to get to wherever you are in Edinburgh.
No table service, but the main bar and the Guinness Self Pour Machine are only a short walk away.
The Guinness Self Pour Machine is currently installed inside to protect it from the rain.
It is easy to use:
- Go to the bar and ask for an empty glass for the machine.
- At the machine, enter how many pints you want to pour and tap your card.
- Hold your glass to the nozzle at a 45-degree angle and pour.
- After the glass is around 2/3 full, the tap will stop pouring and let your drink settle. This is known as the two-part pour; after a short wait, the machine will be available to pour the rest of your pint to ensure a creamy white head.
The machine will tell you how much of your pint you have poured throughout. If you encounter any issues, please do let one of our team know and we can help you.
Our entire range of drinks is available including Guinness, tank Tennent's, wine, summer spritzes, spirits, soft drinks and hot drinks.
